Aqsa Zaidi has a bachelor’s in Journalism, hence most of her time at the Fellowship is spent in looking for experiences to write about.
However, her interactions have led to the belief that writing is empty until people read it, so her primary project at the Fellowship is towards inculcating a reading culture at her current place of residence, Dungarpur.
The normal days where tasks were completed, objectives were fulfilled, debriefs were attended, worksheets made, and though you might not have been emotionally connected, it could be said that you were a “good” fellow. A lot of my days at the Fellowship were spent thus. They served as punctuation marks between the other days.
The days where the blurriness shifted a little, some things came into focus, some problems were highlighted, maybe you could work on making a newspaper, maybe you could give them clothes, maybe you can have a literacy campaign, and jazz. Projects were delineated, details were thought about and among all the tasks that you were mechanically doing, passion was found.
